| ProBio Food is produced through a
natural fermentation process and is not chemically synthesized or genetically
engineered or modified. ProBio Food operates under the mechanism of competitive
exclusion. As a probiotic, introducing ProBio Food into a living system will
regenerate good bacteria to dominate the system. For instance, when used in
livestock applications, this process changes the underlying microbial ecology in
the animals’ body to one that is balanced, healthy, and controls re-emergence of
pathogenic or toxic bacteria. ProBio Food can decrease mortality rates, reduce
pests and smells, and improve overall production and feed efficiency.
The basic groups of microorganisms in ProBio Food are lactic acid
bacteria (commonly found in yogurt or cheeses) yeast (found in beer; bread) and
phototrophic bacteria.
ProBio Food can be used as is (diluted with
water) or "activated", to improve efficiency. The activation process is a 3-14
day fermentation process requiring space, water and molasses. Through the
activation process, one gallon of ProBio Food can yield up to 20 gallons of
usable and effective product. The activated product is most effective if used
within 30 days.
For customers not equipped or interested in activating a
mother culture, SCD provides a line of ready to use products, including SCD Bio
Klean™, SCD Bio Ag®, Bio Livestock®, and SCD Odor Away™.
